A lift would take us to the top of the cemetery or to the chosen floor. We step out into a garden, full of blooming cherry trees, wrapped in floating spirals. Time slows down. The noises from the outside world have faded, we only hear a little water stream –symbol of a new life- flowing slowly downhill, and the wind. Light filters across the perimetral skin of the cemetery, the interface between life and death, the columbarium where the glass funeral urns are placed, creating changing rhythms of light and shadows that reflect in the water. It guides us deep inwards, triggering memories…
