The center of Nittedal, located by the river Nitelva and crossed by the stream Ørfiskebekken, due to its low position in the surrounding terrain is an area where floodings often occur.
This research project analizes the different water management strategies in the senter of Nittedal, designing new connections between Ørfiskebekken and Nitelva before the streams reaches the senter, transforming flooding areas into parks, creating new buffer zones that will increase the capacity and resistance of the center to flood situations.
